Dear Parents, “I
believe education is all about being excited about something. Seeing passion and enthusiasm helps push an educational message.”
Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter Teaching for me, is about touching students’ lives, encouraging them to
grow, helping them to think deeper, giving them the tools to challenge themselves. In my classes, I teach to the different
learning styles, since not everyone learns in the same way. I embrace the Socratic method, which takes an idealist
approach to teaching. Using the example Socrates gave us so long ago, I prefer to provide information, guide student
as they build skills, but more importantly, provide students the opportunity to explore major ideas and concepts by asking
questions, and through discovery, allow students to come to their own conclusions – thereby building knowledge as they
learn more about their world.

Ms. Romine
